Aims The workshop aims to bring together vacuum scientists and engineers interested in all aspects of gas flow modeling in vacuum systems and researchers who develop numerical and analytical methods of calculations of gas flows in the whole range of the gas rarefaction including the free molecular, transitional, and hydrodynamic regimes. The Workshop is organised by Accelerator Science and Technology Centre ( STFC Daresbury Laboratory, UK) and Federal University of Parana (Brazil) with support of International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications (IUVSTA) (www.iuvsta.org) and commercial sponsors. VenueThe Workshop will be held at Djurönäset, Värmdö, Sweden. TimetableOn-site registration will start on 8 July, 2007. The registration desk and Workshop secretariat is located at Djurönäset and will be open from 14.00 on the 8 July. The workshop will start at 9:00 on Monday 9th July and will finish on Thursday 12th July at 16:00. There will be Reception on Sunday evening and Workshop Dinner on Wednesday evening. FormatThe Workshop sessions will include invited (30 min) and plenary (15 min) talks followed by open discussion ProceedingsThere will be no formal proceedings but participants are asked to provide the organiser with an electron copy of their presentation. These will be collated into a record of the Workshop, which will be distributed to participants ParticipationParticipation in the workshop will be by invitation only.
